Exhibition – TREASURES FROM THE EARTH
We invite you to visit the only permanent exhibition on sulfur geology in all of Poland where you may view and admire the unique crystallised sulfurized limestone deposits, products derived from the processing of sulfur ore, as well as miners’ clothing from earlier eras.
Ladies and Gentlemen, in this exhibit you shall see the former opencast mine Machów, a fragment of the mining excavation and a view of the open sulfur mine Jeziórko.
The exhibit is supplemented by graphic charts on the geology of sulfur as well as a multimedia presentation, familiarising us with the technological excavation and processing of sulfur ore.
In the second hall you will observe a permanent exhibition of archeological finds:
- fragments of the walls of the fortified manor from the 15th century
- an oak dugout from the XII century – a dugout canoe of a length of 12 metres
- archaeological finds
